Abstract
This paper presents a new model combining numerical and symbolic temporal information. The reasoning techniques that uses such temporal knowledge representation are discussed as well. A reasoning tool based on these techniques was built. This tool uses an original strategy in order to propagate temporal constraints via two level temporal propagator. The algorithms and the techniques used are discussed as well. A query language had been developed in order to facilitate the interrogation of the temporal map as well as the tool interfacing with an inference engine. A detailed evaluation of the propagation algorithms is provided.
